I’m Marshaé Newkirk!
Hi, I’m Dr. Marshaé Newkirk and I’m the founder of ANew Blueprint Consulting. I find joy in helping others achieve breakthroughs, discover new ways of understanding and approaching their work, and actualizing themselves as the leaders they wish to be. My ever-evolving reflections and work as a school founder and leader have led me to support educators to shift their practices in brand new ways – developing new “best practices” to uplift, liberate, and empower all students.
I am a career educator who spent 12 years as a school leader and founder of a public elementary school. Since 2019, I have coached and supported dozens of school leaders across the country. I have enjoyed the benefits of amazing networks of friends and colleagues as a TFA alum, an alumnus of New Leaders for New Schools, and most recently, at the University of Pennsylvania where I completed my doctoral studies in Organizational & Educational Leadership. I geek out on Adaptive Leadership and I am a sucker for a great cup of coffee! ;)

There’s always another way, but Leadership can be messy and murky!
I work with leaders to regain or fine tune focus, clarity, and the courage to move forward.
My approach
focus
As a leader, you and your team constantly face issues and challenges that require your attention. With so much to attend to, you want to be sure that your attention and actions are aligned to the priorities you’ve set. I work with leaders to help them drill down on priorities and align their attention and actions to the priorities they’ve chosen to focus on.
clarity
Before we can focus on priorities, it is helpful to be clear about what we’re trying to achieve and why. I work with leaders to gain or regain clarity, so they can focus their actions accordingly.
courage
Having focus and clarity are a great start but moving forward isn’t always easy. Our roadblocks may be technical or skills-oriented, or they may be adaptive or related to what we understand to be the costs of our decisions. I work with leaders to identify and weigh the costs and then develop a plan of action to move forward.
